Kinilaw
Kinilaw is, very simply put, a raw fish dish. It’s known in Hawaii as Poke and both are very similar. Even though many types of fish can be used, we will use Ahi, which is either Yellowfin or Bigeye Tuna. This is a sushi grade fish and will produce a much better flavor for your dish.
Ingredients:
- 2 Ahi steaks
- 1/2 red onion
- 2 Scallions
- Salt to taste
- 2 tomatoes, 1/2 inch chop.
- 1/2" grated Ginger
- 2 calamante
- Two teaspoons vinegar
- 1\3 cup coconut milk (optional)
Directions:
- gently mix all ingredients together,
- put in refrigerator for about an hour and serve.
